‘In the Levant Time’ star critiques role

Iranian actor Hadi Hejazifar gives critique of his performance in the latest movie ‘In the Levant Time’ directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia.

The leading actor remarked on his poor performance in the Iranian flick ‘In the Levant Time’, during an interview at the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran, Iran, on Thursday.

“The film is a good one with moments, which I believe we will see for the first time in Iranian cinema. I see Babak; I see the other actors. I like the entire film but I don’t like my performance; I am saying this honestly,” he noted after a screening of the film.

He continued that his main interest in the film industry is directing, which “I have learned a lot from Hatamikia. He has a good command of his work and over everything and the cast and crew.”

“I must admit it was one of my wishes that came true to work with Hatamikia. We lived for four months together and to me the complete satisfaction of the director is the main thing,” he highlighted.

‘In the Levant Time’ portrays an Iranian pilot who, along with his son as copilot, is seized by Daesh terrorists in Syria.

Hejazifar and Babak Hamidian are the sole Iranian actors of the cast, which is composed of Syrian and Iraqi actors.
